OSI and TCP/IP

TCP /IP (which stand for transmission control protocol / internet protocol) is a data communication standard
use by internet community in process of exchange data from one computer to another on the internet network
. this protocol can't stand alone, becaouse this protocol is a set of protocol (protocol suite). this protocol is also
the most widely use protocol today. the data is implemented in software  in the operating system. the term given
to this software is TCP / IP stack. TCP / IP is an open networking standard that is independent of physical
networking transport mechanism use, so it can be use anywhere. this protocol uses a simple addressing scheme
known as an IP adress , which allows up to several hundred million computers to be able  to relate to each
other on the internet. this protocol is routable.

each layer is own by a colection of protocol (protocol suitee) TCP/IP protocol assosiate with each. the main
protocol in TCP/IP protocol is as follows.

protocol include protocol dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP), Domain name System (DNS), hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP), file transfer protocol (FTP) , telnet, simple main tranfer protocol (SMTP)
simple network managemen protocol(SNMP) etc.

Protocol in this layer is the transmission control protocol (TCP) and user datagram potocol (UDP). internet layer protocol : responsible for mopping (routing) and ancapsulation of data packet the network into IP packet .

Protocol that works in this layer in the internet protocol (IP), address resolution protocol (ARP), internet control message protocol (ICMP) and internet group management protocol (IGMP), network layer protocol
: responsible for putting the network frame on the network media being.

TCP / IP can work with many transport technologies , ranging from transport technologies in the LAN (such as ethernet token ring) , MAN and WAN (such as dial up modem connections over the public switch telephne networking (PTSN), integrate services digital networki(ISDN)) and asynchronous(ATM)).

Wide area networking (WAN)

wide area networking is a computer networking conver large area as example of computer network betwen
region, cities or even countries, or can be defined computer
network require routers an public comunication channels. WAN area use to connect local area networks
area one white the other location can communicate whith user and computer in other locations.
