The following installation steps to create a virtual machine using VMware:

Select the type of operating system you want, in this case Linux. Complete versions of the operating system option in the Linux 2.6.x kernel is Other, and then click Next
6. The next step is to determine the name of the virtual machine, please fill as desired. Do not forget to specify the location of the virtual machine configuration storage operating system will be installed. Then click Next.
7. The next stage is the choice of network connection. There are several options, but for now just select Use bridged networking. Then click Next.

To determine the location of the ISO file, double-click the CD-ROM (IDE 1:0). A new window will appear as shown below.
Check the option Connect at power on if you want the CD ROM always read when the virtual machine is activated. For this type of connection select Use ISO image, then fill in the location of the ISO image file owned. If you have appropriate click OK.
